Developed programmes
The development of ecological programmes – alongside fieldwork – made the need for distinctive, hands-on education clear. Each assignment brought new insights, deeper knowledge and ideas for improvement. This led to the founding of Ecology Academy.
EQF-accredited ecological programmes
The founder of Ecology Academy – Chris de Waard – developed the training materials for external education institutes for official, practice-oriented programmes with recognised EQF levels: the Ecological Garden Designer programme and the Ecological Landscaper programme. Other roles include:
– Member of the examination board for the Ecological Advisor and Ecological Landscaper programmes
– • Examiner for the Ecological Garden Designer programme
For the latter, the assessment content and examination materials were also developed.

The expertise shaping our ecological programmes
Developing ecological programmes and teaching materials brings together multiple areas of expertise.

Services
Activities include design, consultancy and site visits across different climate zones. The focus is on ecosystem restoration, land regeneration, water management, soil improvement, planting, and increasing biodiversity.
